The hotel is in a great location in the heart of Union Square. This makes this hotel more pricy but I think it's worth it for the convenience. Check - in was very smooth and the hosts were all very accommodating. The room was on the small side (think standard NYC hotel room) but was well maintained. The renovation done to this hotel a few years back really changed the hotel for me and I didn't recognize it from 10 years ago when I last visited. From the lobby to the guest bedroom and bathroom, this is essentially a brand nee hotel. The wifi was free and fast, but the water pressure was mediocre. On the bright side, the shower-tub combo had a handheld showerhead. Overall, this is the best Hyatt in San Francisco.
