Varsity Inn OSU South is my staple whenever I get to Columbus for a Buckeye's game. The hotel staff are friendly, the room rates are reasonable (and reasonable has a different price point during the regular season than during the off season) and with a Bob Evans, Wendy's and Tim Horton's right across the parking lot they have you covered all the way from breakfast to a late night burger and coffee 24/7!
It's a little less than a mile walk to The Shoe and that's what keeps me coming back. Just cross the Olentangy River, slide down to the running path and it's a straight shot to The Shoe . I love being able to roll out of bed, grab a shower and stroll across the parking lot for a quick bite before heading out for some B1G football at The Ohio State University. As a side note, for any of you physical fitness types, the running/biking train that runs along the river is a great place for an early morning run or ride!
