Beau Jo's is a solid 4-star joint in my book for a number of reasons. Let's start with the great:
Pizza: 5/5 it's great pizza, very original. They also make a gluten-free pizza which is VERY tasty
Ambience: 5/5 Nice family friendly environment, great place to hang out
Drinks: 5/5 If you're thirsty, you'll be happy
The just-okay:
The gluten free pizza only comes in the Medium 10" size, and I think it costs $20 or so with 2-3 toppings. It's high quality, but I could eat probably a pizza and a half by myself.
The soup I had (enchilada) was EXTREMELY disappointing -- I paid $5 for a cup of chicken broth with a single piece of chicken and some bits of stuff at the bottom. Could just be a bad service, weak scoop from the pot. But easily $5 wasted in my book.
We swing by every now and again to pick up a pizza when we're coming back from the mountains, because their gluten-free crust really is good. I'm just wary of getting anything else on the menu now
