Stovepipe wells Village is at a very good location and its pricy. My experience was pretty bad. I stayed there for one night. They do not have electricity for the whole night, they do not know when it will be fixed. They were offering small torches which stops working after 15 minutes. The room was ok. They had gas heater in the room, which takes a loong time to start working. They have a saloon for food. Around 7pm they were out of food. Although Stovepipe Wells Village hotel offer for refund Because of electricity problem but I believe they had a Clever move in it because if you take refund, they knew there was no place to go for the night except going out of the Death Valley Park. So they didnt offer any discount or anything. All the other hotels were booked or last minute rent were too high. So stovepipe played well in fooling people and take advantage of it. If you are booking this hotel make sure you get all prepare before you reach there. Lights, batteries, food, water, extra blankets, etc because I heard this electricity issue happens once in a month or two. I paid $200 and spent the night without electricity and nothing to do.
