Totally confused. After second meeting with Mr. A. I paid for credit checks and then a down payment for court costs and his fee. I was told to gather financial statements and oh, I could not file Chap.7 or I would lose my house. So , I was sent to his Chap.13 expert. She was a nice lady but had a soft voice and foreign accent. This is where all the bad news began. I would have to pay all my bills over 5 years but the interest rate would be 2%. The new lawyer fee was additional $3,000 plus. Any new lump sum from retirement will have to be paid to the Court. This is not what I was expecting. I need to do repairs and I will make a lot less in retirement. What is the sense?
