My husband and I are new to the army. I moved to the Fort Hood area a couple weeks ago at 36 weeks pregnant. I was nervous to be switching doctors and to be honest I was very nervous to be delivering at a military hospital. It was just never a life plan of mine! I ended up needing a c section bc my baby was breech. I had the best experience from beginning to end. I really felt very taken care of in every aspect. The doctors and nurses were extremely compassionate, the hospital itself was clean and welcoming, the doctors were all so knowledgeable and never seemed rushed to get through my appointments. After my surgery and baby was here they were very thorough with mine and baby's health. The room I was in was private and comfortable. I felt safe and taken care of. The nurses were amazing and the doctors had it together. The whole experience just felt so smooth and everything was handled flawlessly. I loved every doctor I came in contact with from the surgeon to the anethesiologist to the pediatricians. If you are going to have a baby here you're in good hands!!
