I've used Savo Store's services in the past and have had seamless results with them. Communication was good, delivery was good, fast and efficient.
Recently I had a total of 3 orders which were all made before Savo Store had announced that they would be putting a hold on their shipping only service, and therefore would hold items that shipped to their warehouse after a certain deadline. All my items arrived to their warehouse before said deadline, but only one of the orders was shipped out. The others stayed for over a month at their warehouse, which I can understand with the backlog they were receiving and the unforeseen issues with COVID. My problem isn't that the items were delayed, but that the communication was really faulty. There were no confirmations on the Savo Store website that my items had arrived, though on my end, the tracking information from the sellers had confirmed the items' arrival. Even as I had e-mailed to query about insurance and consolidating orders, replies were non-existent or only answered when addressed to specific representative e-mail accounts. Countless calls and e-mails with various representatives were made. When I had a chance to talk with some representatives on phone, they assured me they would contact the US team to find out the status of the items and the orders. A lot of follow up on my end had to be done, which was my biggest issue.
I just think that their communication and customer service can improve between US and Nairobi teams, as well as following up with customers with precise information. Maybe even having separate e-mail addresses so that individual needs are better dealt with, rather than a general customer service address. It gets tiresome talking to two different people, referencing emails you had sent a few days earlier, repeating your queries as they search for it on their end.
I think Savo Store is a great company and offers a great option for people who want to bring things from the US, but I think the pandemic has put a spotlight on areas for improvement, and I hope they take advantage of that.
