We were three weeks in November. Beginning of summer in Mauritius. An average of seven rainy days in November, but it rained more often in the three weeks. There is never really a cloudless sky.

The hotel is a cheap three star hotel.
It is located on the long beach of Flic en Flac. Unfortunately, the beach at the hotel is the narrowest and is polluted with lots of dead coral pieces washed up. Because of the many stones, going into the sea is difficult and only with bathing shoes. This is strongly advised because of the deadly poisonous stonefish that often occur there.
Relaxation is not possible on the beach because of the noise of loud music (from the bar, or during water aerobics, or during the dance class) or the many loud Italians who are mostly in the majority. It is better to take a few steps to the beautiful Public Beach north, or to the beautiful wide beach south. There you can also bathe in water much better.

The hotel is mostly in good condition. Nice spacious rooms, with a sea view (fantastic sunsets) with quiet and well-functioning air conditioning, large and good beds, minibar, safe, large closet, spacious bathroom with a huge shower and double sink. WC in the extra room.

The rooms are unfortunately very noisy, as the hotel is open on the corridor to the street and only the room door separates the street noise.

Nice ambience in the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and tried hard.
The kitchen also tries to bring variety. The chef should, however, be sent for further training. Every layperson knows that beef should be cut across the grain and not lengthways, as otherwise it is inedible. The dishes also lack seasoning. For three weeks at breakfast we only had mortadella as sausage and pieces of ham, and always the same cheese. Vegetables were always only tomatoes. Never peppers, or cucumbers, or anything else.

In the dining room it is very dark in the evening, giving the impression that it is closed. It is also because of the music that is played live with the meal, so loud that it is impossible to chat at the table. The guests all immediately flee from the dining room if they have eaten greasy food and the musicians then only play in the empty room until 11 p.m. in front of the staff, who then set the tables for breakfast.

Conclusion: hotel for noise-resistant. Corresponds to three stars, price reasonable. Weaknesses in hotel management.
