I ve never written a bad review before, but my recent experience with Rydell was very unpleasant. I took my car in for an oil change a couple of weeks ago. While under my hood, they changed my air filter as well. I paid for the services and was on my way. I noticed a few days later that my check engine light was on. I called Rydell and made an appointment for the very next day. My appointment was scheduled for 10AM. I dropped my car off 15 minutes before my appointment and explained how i was just in for an oil change and air filter a few days before and now my check engine light is on. He said it s possible the air filter was not installed correctly and if that s the case, they would fix it free of charge and it would be a quick fix (he was positive that this is what the problem was from the information I gave him). By 3 in the afternoon I called to check on my vehicle because I had yet to hear anything from them. They told me they had yet to even see my car and would call back when it s ready. I received a call just before 5 stating that they wouldn t have time for my vehicle today and that If i needed it back I would need to come get my car before they closed at 6. When I showed up, they told me they ran a test to see what the error code would say. He believed that when they changed my oil, some oil got into my engine where it should not be and he quoted me $600 to fix the problem. I had to reschedule for an appointment 2 weeks out. As I was driving away in my vehicle, I found a dirty pair of gloves shoved into my cup holder as well as a used mask on the floor between the passenger door and seat. I was very disappointed with the service I received. My next appointment is coming up soon, if things aren t better this time I don t believe I ll be coming back.
