I highly recommend you to buy tickets in advance, so you can avoid the ridiculously long queue.
I thought it would be a waste of time going through the whole Vatican to get to the Sistine Chapel which was my priority, but I was wrong. There is so much to see, to admire. One can see how much power and wealth they have just by having a look at what the museum has to offer. Definitely a must do.
