Arrived to see the lobby mobbed with people. The hotel lobby is decorated for the Christmas holiday. It was beautiful with the lights & tree decorations. It seems that everyone from everywhere comes to this hotel just to walk and stay in the lobby to take photos. Tons of families with their children, grandparents, etc. It never stopped the entire time of our five day visit. From early morning to middle of the night the lobby is a sea of people. If I had know this I would not have booked this hotel. It was a bit annoying by the 2nd day. Loads of people who are not guests of the hotel are mobbing the lobby at all hours of the day and night. I am told this is normal for this hotel. I was told that the hotel has a tea with Santa on the 2nd floor. But 90% of the people were people not seeing Santa. Santa belongs in Dept. Stores with the rest of the public. Not in a high end hotel where the guests are paying a lot of money to vacation in. It seems the hotel did not care about the inconvenience this created for their paying guests.
I was very disappointed - I visited another two hotels in the area and it was not at all like this. Just at the Roosevelt. Sorry we choose to stay here and will not do so next season.
