Buyer beware! I bought a 2016 Scion iA and discovered that the dealership fails to stock essential parts for the car. The car's tire specifications are P185/60R16, which, I discovered after purchase, is a rare tire size not stocked by tire companies. I have had tire problems twice since purchasing the car and have been forced to rent a car while the tire is ordered from the warehouse, which, in the case of this last time, will take four full days before delivery. I was quoted a price of approximately $165 for the tire, a Toyo Proxes, which retails for around $100 on Tire Rack (also on back order). Round Rock Toyota has an obligation to inform buyers that parts may not be available for the Scion iA. I have bought four vehicles from this dealership, but due to my experience with their failure to stock essential parts I will not purchase vehicles from them in the future. Is this really worth losing customers who offer repeat business? The dealership should have offered to take a tire off a car on the back lot for me, and if that is not possible they should be prepared to pay for my rental costs.
