I was a cash buyer and I was interested in a property this estate agent had up for sale, I put two bids in, first five grand under asking price, second was two grand under asking price and the customer service I received was appalling, firstly I viewed this property that was only on a open viewing basis, when I got there the estate agent couldn t show me the mezzanine storage, because she didn t know how to take down the ladder so we could view area, no attempt was made to do this, I tried to book a second viewing so I could have access to the whole apartment, to be told there is already two bids in place and I need to put a bid in before otherwise it will be gone before I have a chance to have a second view. I ended up putting two bids in after being told to cut the BS???? the first one got refused and the second one that was only two grand under the asking price, I was told that I would be notified of wether my bid had been accepted or not through EMAIL. I have been buying properties for cash for the last eleven years and I ve never heard of an estate agent letting you know if your bid has been accepted by email. Guess what, they didnt even email me, AVIOD!
