Positives: extremely quiet if you get a room within the "courtyard" inner side facing the hotel. Probably the most quiet hotel room I have ever had in Nola. The bathroom fixtures were excellent. Great shower head(s) and there was no infiltration of sound by adjacent plumbing (sounds from other guests' flushing toilet, running shower etc.) This is where the positives end.
Negatives: Extremely dusty room. Baseboards, behind the dresser, headboard, corner of the closet were caked with dust from who knows how long ago.
Bed was like sleeping in a sagging hammock. Terribly uncomfortable bed. Pillows were limp and offered no support. Both my back and my wife's back were killing us for the entire three day trip afterward.
Tiny room with no space to place luggage or anything really. Why not get rid of the giant dresser in the tiny room so people can walk around? Very impractical room with interior design.
Value. There is none. One can stay at Le Pavillion for much less for better ambiance and service. Drury is even a fraction of the cost for the same value. All The Roosevelt has going for it is the history and the lobby. We were also overcharged for a beverage fee that I should not have incurred. This was on the first night, and no one came to the room. Intentional up-charge?
We will not stay here again.
