Daniel Victory Review of CrossFit Exe
Crossfit Exe has changed my life. No question.
Crossfit Exe has changed my life. No question.
It sounds unrealistic but it's totally genuine. I started at Crossfit Exe in February 2015 after a long history as a member of one gym or another in Exeter, most of which I spent in an on-off relationship with working out and with no real direction. Any little hump such as illness or increased workload would spell a weeks-long drop of in my attendance and I'd be back to where I started.
I attended a taster session and (after an hour or so of recovery) I was hooked. The blend of skill, technique, weightlifting and high intensity training, all under the watchful eye of a team of gifted and enthusiastic coaches is both effective and addictive. Add to this the whole new friendship group, smiling faces and social life and you've got a winning combination.
I wake up every day keen to know what the day has in store and any day I'm not there is spent planning how to make up what I missed!
In real terms, I started because I had tried everything and my weight and waistline were only going in the wrong direction. Six months (and a good deal of sweat) later and I had lost two and a half stone and increased in strength. A year and a half further down the line and my whole body shape, ability, strength and, importantly, self-confidence and body-image have continued to improve.
I'm more capable, stronger, fitter, healthier, ill less often and better more quickly and happier in my own skin. I can't think of anything else that a gym should give me and hadn't imagined in a million years that the transformation would be so significant but I'm very glad that it is!
Thank you Crossfit Exe and I look forward to what the next two years has to bring!
