The hotel does everything they can to nickel and dime you, plut outright lying to steal your money. My wife tried to arrange for surprise room service for our anniversary, which they didn't follow through on. She was disheartened to see they didn't set up the rose petals she ordered. When she called about it, they said they would do it whenever they got around to it. Since we had already checked in and the surprise was ruined, she cancelled the request.

They proceed to deliver room service, which I accepted while my wife was in the bathroom. She called to ask them to take the untouched food back since she cancelled it hours before, but they didn't come back. Eventually they called and said to just keep it free of charge.

Of course, they charge us $40 for something we didn't want and refuse to refund the money.

If you want a nice experience, just pay for a better hotel. If you want a cheap place to stay near the galleria, pick somewhere else anyways. After $15 "destination fee" and $34 parking fee, plus whatever other thing you get tricked into paying, the room isn't affordable anymore.
