Bought a brand new WRX with extended warranty and have had nothing but issues. Been to the dealership 5 times for the same issue. Needed the turbo replaced on the 2nd time but still didn't fix the problem. Needed to replace the battery when it was 2.5 years old. Needed to pay out of pocket to remove carbon buildup in the engine (which they weren't even sure if it would fix the problem...it was just recommended under their "manual" and they couldn't go to the next step until this was done). Now today there is a new leak under the differential fluid area and it will take close to a month to even get an appointment when I just paid for that carbon buildup service a week ago. Like wouldn't they check for fluid leaks when I brought my car in then to even try to help diagnose the problem? It honestly feels like the technicians don't know what they are doing. I'm not usually one to post and complain, but my patience has just about reached the end. The service advisor staff have been respectful and patient ,so this is not a complaint about them. If you are thinking about buying a Subaru, maybe do a bit more research first to save yourself a headache.
