These guys revery NICE BUT I am : Sorry to say I had 2 bad experiences with Trend this year. I purchased 2 cars from them. I do not know why I came back for more punishment. Maybe because Luke is so, so nice. The first time I purchased a Passat. and was promised a great price if i called them by end of day with a credit card number that night which I did. When I arrived 3 days to pickup car they told me they made a mistake and I paid 360 more over a 36 month lease. At that point I invested so much time and did not fell like making a big deal over $10 per month. It bothered me so much due to the lack integrity after the fact . I felt they could have given me a free service contract with wound up I paying for. You all know when you sign the paperwork they offer you many upgrades of services. BTW in the book called "Influence" by Robert Cadini he talks about that exact scenario . Once a client is committed to a purchase and has invested time and is excited many auto sales people say they made a mistake and try to make the client feel bad for the real nice salesperson. The client falls for the trap like I did.

Second car was a trade in. of my son's 2008 Passat. The car was in good shape but we wanted him to have a new car for college. We planned to downgrade him from an older Passat to a new Jetta. We purchased the Passat used for $8500.00 2 years ago. They offered us $2500. They gave us the old sob story they cannot resell if for much more even though the street price was still 8500. VW holds there value for sure. The finally agreed to $5000 as they said they would take a loss for us. In the end they took the $5000 off the MSRP not the full discounted price and I would up overpaying for his car. I must a JERK for agin buying into this. They did not want to show me the number but kept giving excuses. They never made the breakdown clear. We were also supposed to get Memorial Day savings which we never got the full $1500 off. When we picked up the new Jetta, guess what? We saw our 2008 Passat all cleaned up being driven home by someone and was sold for guess how much $8500.00.
Trend called to ask me to write a possible review. I told them I would not and wanted to talk the owner. Of course the owner was in Italy. They said I can talk to Scott the Sales manager. I told he was the one I had issue with. I want to talk to owner. Guess who called me that day? Scott not the GM or owner.

Scott was so polite and did all the things the book on customer services says to do . He was calm, repeated all my concerns so I would fell like I was heard. In the end did Zero, Nada. I did not get any compensation, any explanation of why the price of the trade was what it was. Scott did promise me to get me USB cable for my iPhone which he NEVER DID GET FOR ME. I have never been treated like this before. I have owned a Jaguar , a Mercedes , 2 BMWs, a Porsche and an Audi and 3 Volvos. I decided to move to an economical car as I'm over the thrill of fancy cars and want to save for my future. I love my VW so much. I may try Bernardsville VW. They are so amazing of there. They actually drove my car to my office when the service was complete.

If they finally resolve these issues I will be glad to update my review. I have a business and hate when I get a bad review. Most business owners strive so hard to keep clients happy, I did not write this review until I spoke to Scott and a month later still no follow up to resolve.
