I rescued a finch nestling that was hanging from its nest by its leg with a human hair wrapped around it. The little bird had been upside down flapping its little wings trying to get free for some time when I found it. I had to cut the hair away from the nest with scissors just to free it. Unfortunately, the leg just hung there. Or else I could've put it back in the nest. I spent three hours calling around until I came across these guys. Thankfully the bird made it through the night & the ride to this location. Once in they took it right out & started working on it. PLEASE BE SURE TO LEAVE A DONATION. Every bit helps. This place is awesome. My son & I spent over an hour walking around looking at every single animal that we could. There are a lot of birds walking around. They are so much fun to watch. Keep an eye out for the pelicans. They want you to feed them & they are going to try to take bites, lol. I enjoyed them. They are really fun to watch react to the employees/volunteers as they walk by. The animals get so excited.
