Melvin Kuiters Review of Van der Valk Hotel Kinderdijk

We stayed here the weekend of December 15th. After a visit to the Dordrecht Christmas market we looked for a hotel that was not too far away. We ended up at Van Der Valk Ridderkerk.
This hotel is located right on the A15 motorway, but that won't bother you. We had a Deluxe room, which are all located on the top floor of this hotel.
The entrance of the hotel is really worthy of van der valk, looks luxurious, and the staff behind the desk are very friendly. After we received our room key, we could take the elevator to our room. The lift can be activated with the door key, this keeps people who are not looking for anything at least away from the room. When you arrive at the first floor, you are shocked by the colors. You come out of the elevator on a kind of inner square and each floor has a different color.
Once in the room, that hustle and bustle is gone and you enter in peace. We had a Deluxe room, with a deluxe room you get a stocked minibar and an extra jacuzzi. Jacuzzi only had Jets in the back and side and not from below which was actually a bit of a shame. Beds are fine, and the hotel was neat and clean.
We didn't have dinner here, but did have breakfast. Breakfast is busy, and it is sometimes crowded for a table. The disadvantage is that too many tables have been set up for 4 people, so that two-person company also sits at a 4-person table.
The breakfast itself is good and plenty of choice. Unfortunately, they couldn't really handle the crowds at the griddle. Many eggs were sent away with snot, and my omelette ham / cheese was not completely cooked.
Furthermore, a primea hotel.
