This place is an oasis! The park itself is amazing geographically and in the way it is taken care of. All of the trails are very well manicured and marked. The whole park is dog friendly, one of the most alluring things about it as I hardly go places I cannot take my dogs.

The Basin Campground is wonderful. Hot showers, laundry mat, flush toilets, firewood (all money from the wood sales goes to the local boy scout troop) and ice all available at the campground. The campsites are all very well situated and give the guest an ample amount of seclusion from the other sites. Hint: numbers 12, 13 and 17 look to be the best spots in the grounds.

The gentleman, Danchel, that was working the visitors center was a gem. I asked a lot of questions about the area and he answered all of my questions with ease. He made the stay that much more enjoyable.
