I m giving Pronto a 4 star rating for fixing my furnace. Their service was truly worth 5 stars. From the time I called to the time my furnace was fixed was probably less than two hours. Granted I think I got lucky that someone else had cancelled their appointment. Emma was great finding a technician that was available and Logan was great at quickly diagnosing the the problem. At first I thought their fees were reasonable. $149 for coming out and diagnosing the problem. The faulty part was a ignitor controller. I was happy they had one in the van, but that is when he told me the part was $450 to purchase. I later did some research and found the part could be easily purchased for $80, but it would have to ordered and shipped. To be fair, I wasn t expecting to pay cost, but a 5X markup is beyond gouging. With the house already cold I felt I had move forward with the purchase. $600 all said and done. In the end, I felt taken advantage of due to my situation.
