Hidden in plain sight, this restaurant hosts some of the most flavorful and well composed food I have ever tasted. The I building sits on a corner of two major streets, no flashy signs, the only distinguishing characteristic a cornflower blue door on an otherwise grey building. The dining room has tables in every available space. If you look to your left you'll be graced with a collection of fresh and unique pastries parted from you only by a thin layer of glass. I dined with a party of 5 and we all adventured across the menu trying different dishes. Every single plate was presented exquisitely. The smells that filled the air were tantalizing, making me doubt for a split second my own decision for breakfast.
I chose the chicken and waffles. (At risk of being trendy)
Believe me when I say. I have never ate more perfectly cooked food!
The chicken was tender, juicy, hot, well seasoned and expertly breaded. The waffle tasted fluffy and crispy with an unbelievable balance of heat and sweat. Served with my meal was a bourbon maple syrup and habeniro hot sauce. Both were homemade and a pure joy to add to the meal.
Not a single dish at our table was without equal care and attention.
The menu rotates and I urge you to try something new, do not be scared to adventure into flavors you are unfamiliar with, or try flavors you may have given up on. The chefs here have great percision and profound passion for the food they serve, trust and be rewarded.
