I am absolutely delighted with this place. If you're looking for some high quality Irish food, this should be your go-to!
When I first arrived, their menu was pages in an old book - what a delightful touch!
It has a very quiet but fun environment. Still Irish pub-ish, but with a hint of classy/romantic (candlelight), but the music is a fun, random variety.
Our waitress, Carley, was very knowledgeable about the menu and made well-informed recommendations after figuring out more about us and the kinds of things we like and for what we were looking.
For an appetizer, we tried the Black Pudding, which was unlike anything I've ever had. It was sweet and savory at the same time, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Carley recommend the Pork Collar. It was roasted for 10 hours (knife is optional), and perfectly seasoned. Everything complimented everything else wonderfully.
Carley said it was her favorite thing on the menu at the moment. Even asked how often it changes, she said it changes "mostly seasonal, with a dish thrown in here and there to see how it does."
While I was fully satisfied with the meal, I always love to try dessert. We ordered the Dark Chocolate Mousse, and it's excellence was consistent with the rest of the meal.
This is a must-try!
