Way too busy, which completely marred the experience. Walking through the palace was just one huge procession, being dragged through in a massive overheating queue. Tour groups were blocking certain areas/information points and people more interested in experiencing the palace through their phone screen than their eyes kept getting in the way.

The gardens were beautiful and walking to the cafe near the boating lake was a much needed escape as the masses of people seem to avoid it.

Would recommend putting in some research into more quiet times to visit as the palace itself isn't much fun when you can hardly move.
