On arrival in the morning we were filtered up through the car parks to Plum 3.
On walking down we saw the closer car parks had numerous empty spaces in all of them. People parkong had left gaps as people were getting out of their cars after parking and no one filled the numerous gaps after!
Then we passed the Electric vehicle recharge spaces - empty- and we could have used them but weren't allowed to get to them!!!
At the entrance, toilets already in poor condition and most had no accessible toilet paper - all in the holders but couldn't get the paper out.
Queued 25 minutes to pay to get in.
Each transaction took forever due to all the questions the cashier has to ask about membership /gift aid/supply your email and 50% of the tills were closed.
Walked round the exhibits. Used the toilets at The Core- no toilet paper again. Told a member of staff who was totally disinterested.
Stopped for lunch at the outdoor burger 'restaurant'.
LONG queue and after 15 mins queuing we were told they'd run out of burgers....... Tried the Mexican, they'd also got a reduced menu.
Used the cafe attached to the shop at the main entrance.
Ordered an americano, an elderflower presse and a chocolate brownie.
Painfully slow service. The staff all seem new/unsure. Prices are high.
The Rainforest exhibit was good but otherwise it was a VERY medocre experience and one I shan't repeat.
Visited The Lost Gardens of Heligan the next day - half the price and totally fabulous- go there instead!
