Yes Doo Review of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center
The entire culture of the hospital is patriarchal ...
The entire culture of the hospital is patriarchal with surgeons as the patriarchs. When a chief surgeon acts as the Gd and everyone else is there to serve her, rest of the team take it out on the patients, sadly taking pleasure in so doing. Nightshift nurses didn't care about the patients AT ALL. Only give them the prescribed medication and take the vitals every few hours or so.
For example, the instrument next to the patients were bleeping continuously with a high pitch sound preventing all the patients in the room from sleeping. After a number of unsuccessful attempts to stop the sound, I had to unplug the whole system at 3 am. It was only then a nurse showed up and within 15 seconds the electronics were back and working without making a hiss. Other patients in the room started complaining too, when then they felt necessary to reset all the instruments to stop the piercing sound, enabling the patients to sleep!!
Overall it was a terrible experience from interaction at the front desk, to nurses, to arrogant surgeon. Avoid the place if you have a choice!!!
