For the last few years Dr.H was a pleasure to see! Loved coming to the the practice. Dr is very educated and happy to answer all questions/concerns however once it came to looking for glasses & obtaining a quote is where the ball was dropped. Let s back up to the day before I called to obtain my out of pocket cost. I was informed $60 for my contact Evaluation & $10 for an eye exam. Daughter $10 exam. Fast fwd to the appt, as I m getting a quote/estimate for both mine and daughters glasses I m informed our exams come out to almost $300. As you can see that s a HUGE DIFFERENCE! So I was upset that it was diff from what I was told the day before. I m Walked to the manager Demetria who verified the benefits (Incorrectly) and told me it s the patients responsibility to educate themselves on their coverage . Which I did and had it pulled up. But because the eff date was 2019 they didn t honor it. I was also informed that the benefits were changed, which lead me to think My HR dept made changes and didn t inform me. She stated she would collect $80 and bill me the diff. Never took ownership that they dropped the ball and gave me the incorrect cost. I pay and leave contact my HR dept with the assumption that they were correct and within minutes get a call back saying I do have coverage. I understand we re human and we make errors. My problem here is I was offended because of the comments or choice of words the manager made to me and the lack of ownership and responsibility. I would never tell any patient what she said. The doctors are amazing and so are the assistance helping with the glasses but the unfortunate part is I was misinformed and they were misinformed and never took ownership which cost a big dilemma.
