This is the most expensive and horrible tasting, smelling and colored water ever. Since Installing my own sewer at my expense, when other county (unincorporated areas) of Florida, had their sewers dug by the county or water company, they then started charging a large flat fee raTE FOR USE OF SAID SEWEr. tHe WATER WE GET FROM THIS UTILITY STINKS, IS OFF COLOR, AND LEAVES STAINS OF WHITE AND OR ORANGE PINK, CHEMICAL STAINS, MINERAL STAINS, ON ALL MY SPIGOTS AND TUB AND SINKS. iT IS CRUSTY AND CANNOT BE REMOVED EXCEPT by using a razor blade to scrape it off. It is also very slimy. If you fill a bottle or bucket with water, within a short while, you can actually feel the sliminess on the inside of the container. It's disgusting. my bill has tripled or quadrupled since this sewer went in, and I don't even shower here, the water is so hard and mineralized, I go to a friends house. Most of my water is put in my flower pots, or used to was dishes. I do not water my lawns with the water. I was also told the reason our water is so slimy is because we are at the end of the water grid that supplies our neighborhood and so by the time we get it, the chemicals have been depleted, thereby causing the company to have to let all the fire hydrants open on a monthly basis to run this slime out of their lines, plus they have to chlorinate more often, like a shock treatment. It also tears through our washers and parts in our spigots. This is not acceptable. This is supposed to be drinking and bathing water. I hope someone reads this and does something about where our water supply is coming from. Pompano bch. is the current site and is too far away for clean or mineral free water. when the water was directed to our neighborhood from Plantation supply or even Sunrise, our water was of better quality. For what we now pay, as compared to when we had our own water company, and before the sewers flat fee, which is ridiculously high for use sometimes, it is totally unacceptable. We need a better water supply. If it cost more to get our water from a better source, it should be done as our bills reflect a better water supply than we are now getting. It is really foul tasting and I now have to buy drinking water. they should give discounts to our neighborhood for having everyone having to buy water to drink when we never had to do this before. I would like a meter put on my sewer to indicate how little it is being used as well, as this flat rate on sewer use is redundant.
