Wickwar Wessex Brewing Company Review

Went on a tour of the brewery and tasted the beers. Had a great time. Would go again and couldn't recommend highly enough!!

The tour was great today. Got to sample lots of different beers, as well as a tour of the brewery.

A great place to stock up on some fab ales and enjoy samples of the ones you haven't tried. Such friendly and helpful service in the shop, we could have chatted all day!

If you get the opportunity, Wickwar Brewing Co do a great beer tasting and brewery tour. It makes for an informative and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out, and they're very generous with the beer!

What a informative friendly place.
Had a great time being told the history and brewing ways ( there's more than you think.)
New line is the 1027 @2.7 all.vol. It actually tasted of real ale.

5 for the shop (as we missed the tour) with very friendly and chatty staff who some how managed to double our order of their lovely beer

A small group of around 20 were on the tour. There was a free pint glass which was topped up at request with whatever beer you would like throughout the time of the tour.

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the group was small enough that we had 1 on 1 time for questions.

The entire history of the brewery was talked about which was very interesting; and of course the whole process from barley to beer was talked through too.

The brewery is a small local affair, but the beer is excellent, and the brewery shop has heavily discounted beer to be bought either in small or large volumes.

BOB was my favourite beer, it also happens to be their most popular. Each brew they do nets around 10500 pints, and they do 1 brew per day 5 days a week.

I would recommend this if you are interested in local history and of course beer!

Went to collect a box of Bob, tried a few others while I was there. Great beer, friendly bloke. They were running brewery tours, sounded great, hope to go on one sometime

Great beers and friendly staff. Dave in the shop is a true character and even the delivery drivers are really helpful and knowledgeable.

The Wickwar Brewery beer is always top notch. It's annoying that Wickwar Beer can be bought more cheaply from the supermarket than directly from the brewery.

Excellent service all round, I knew the BOB was an excellent beer to have when my son and son-in-law came for Christmas in previous years and so ordered again. Unfortunately Wickwar and me were initially let down by delivery. However, all was well as a second consignment arrived in plenty of time before the drinkers arrival. Superb customer service - friendly and I will not say anything about the surprise bonus, and bonus it was, I'm drinking it now. Once again "Thank You".

Went on a brewery tour with my son in law a present from my daughter for father's day. Had a few halfs before the tour started and the guide talk about the history of the brewery, than a walk around the brewery told about the brewing process. Than back for a few more pints. Would recommend it .
