Very Disappointed.

Very Disappointed.
When I first entered this hotel I was very impressed. It seemed like a 5 star hotel. However, looks can be deceiving. Upon entering my room (which is supposed to be a suite) I noticed there was no microwave. I immediately approached the front desk but was told they were all taken. WHAT! They said that I could use the "communal" microwave on the ground floor. My room is on the 7th floor!!! They seemed uninterested that I would have to take my food down 7 floors, heat it up and then return to my room. When I did use the microwave, it was dirty and very small. I also asked where I could access an ice machine and was told there was one on every floor by the elevator. Guess what... the one on the 7th floor didn't work! The two nights that I stayed there were a nightmare of hockey kids and their careless parents. Kids running amok down the hallways screaming and yelling, travelling up and down the elevators, and their brainless parents all set up in rooms where they were drinking themselves into a stupor. My room was cleaned once and was done very hap-haphazardly. A dirty plate was left in my room, the bed covers were just thrown back into position, the pillows were in disarray and the used shampoo and soap were just left in the shower. I asked if I could have a late check-out time on the Sunday and was told 12:30 was the best they could do even though my room was never cleaned before 3pm. When I was packing to leave, I left the room briefly at 12:15 and then was prevented from re-entering the room. Security had to be called to let me access my belongings. The only good thing that I can comment on was the breakfast buffet which, in my mind, was very good. However, even though we had a voucher for a complimentary breakfast buffet, the waiter expected a tip left for him and when my friend hadn't prepared for this he proceeded to pursue her out of the restaurant and publicly embarrassed her because she was unprepared to leave one. All in all this is a lovely, opulent establishment but is managed and staffed with a group of untrained people who seem indifferent to the customer's wishes. I would never stay at this location again.
