I purchased a mahogany door from these folks, and I thought it was a good deal, but as luck would have it, it was only about 1mm mahogany on the outside of the door. These people are resellers, but even as resellers should be able to give you an honest answer about what a mahogany door actually is. I don t think a 1% mahogany door qualifies as a mahogany door. Do you?

Perhaps an honest company would have said it was a mahogany veneer instead of passing the door off as solid mahogany. Perhaps a diligent company would have asked where the door would be placed and what the exposure to the elements would be before selling a door of such insufficiency that even after proper treatments, it s falling apart prior to it s 2nd year installed. Perhaps a good company would do these things, but I have not seen them here.

Probably the only way you re going to get a truly good quality door anymore, is to build it yourself. There is no door you ever want to have installed that even with maintenance, looks damaged prior to 2 years old. Why would anyone willingly waste the time and money for this?

Short answer: they wouldn t. No one would ever ask for this level of insanity.
Edit: Best available product? Are full mahogany doors magically unavailable? Please be HONEST.
You sell some very nice cardboard doors with thin mahogany veneer. That s your product.
