I would be lying if I say this is a bad place to live. We currently live in Pines building 2 and enjoyed our time last year in pines building 1. However, I suggest you don't move into any building where the construction is gong on. We learned our lesson, but hopefully this review will help someone not make the same mistake as we did. Because, you get concession on your rent only if you have scaffolding outside on your patio or in front of your windows if you don't have patio. Other than that no matter how dirty the apartment building is (And trust me it's a big mess), you will be responsible for your full rent which I think is not fair considering you can move into very nice new apartment communities close by with the same amount of rent or few hundred dollars more per year. Leasing agent did tell us that we won't get any discount once the scaffolding is taken down. And we were fine with it because she told us, that would mean end of the construction in part of the building where we live. But what she didn't tell us is, there will be construction going on right outside of our main door for almost a month which didn't start until a month after we moved in. So I hope people reading this review don't make the same mistake as we did because once you sign the lease, there is no way out until your lease expires or if you are willing to break the lease which is costly.
