The palace is wonderful and one of the best to see , all type of arts ( paintings, sculpture, architecture, history, gardening,etc...)
When you are in Versailles you should free your day to enjoy one of the best gardens in the world.

The only problem you face is that most of the staff are rude and speeks French only, they are not well trained how to guide and respect tourist...
