Great venue and good music. The challenge I have with jazz clubs like Vibrato Grill and the Catalina Bar and Grill is they have great music but their overall food is mediocre at best. I cannot speak for Vibrato Grill since we have only had appetizers and drinks the few times we have visited. The bussers should often take over for the wait staff since they are more attentive and more customer friendly than the waiters. We attended a Friday night early show and the waiter did not refill the water or Champagne glasses throughout the entire evening. If I wanted to serve myself and my guest I would stay at home and entertain. The Champagne selection is a strong miss for the wine and beverage director or sommelier. The wine selection is great but the bubbly is a missed opportunity. Also, if you do not charge a cover charge for the early show it is false advertising once you have my credit card to place a mandatory minimum on per person ordering. Improve your food and we would not chose to eat at home over having dinner at your restaurant. Most Brentwood, BelAir and Beverly Hills "pretenders" are not reliable food critics so we will not use their judgement for evaluating the food quality.
