On our way back from a out of town trip we decided...

On our way back from a out of town trip we decided Applebees sounded good and they're open late on Saturdays so we made a stop. After being told there was a 30 minute wait (prom night apparently)we decided to continue our trip but still wanted Applebees so we found another 10 miles or so down the highway(this location). This one had a few people waiting but we were told at the door it would only be a five minute wait so we stayed. After nearly 40 minutes the two couples ahead of us were still waiting and they asked a server how much longer the wait would be to which he just said I dont know. They begged him if they couldn't have a table could they at least sit at the bar and he finally agreed. If they had been up front with the wait we would have just gotten on with our night and our trip but instead we wasted time we could have been using to get food and get home. Terrible experience.
