It is safe to assume most people posting here did not actually purchase or seek to purchase a home from Lennar.

Regarding radiation, I have a Geiger counter. Please point me to one location where I can independently verify the presence of radioactive material at Parcel A of the Shipyard. I've yet to find any after being here 3 years. The item they found during the scan? A glow-in-the-dark deck marker from a ship. Not hazardous unless you eat it. Most of the stories about radiation are just fear-mongering, the real motivation is anti-gentrification.

That's the only real major issue with the Shipyard. The district is up-and-coming, and there is resistance to newcomers moving in who have a different background. It will take the older residents some time to adapt to the change.

Lennar has construction issues like any other builder, but the homes at the Shipyard are still an excellent value for the money if you can put up with this transitional time. It is actually a pleasant location overlooking the waterfront, away from the city center. It will be a very nice place eventually.
