WARNING TO LIFT OWNERS!

We've always used Southern States Toyota for all of our service needs. But never again!!! They seem to have a new policy, they do not offer estimates before repairs are made, then they hit your debit card without authorization! I guess the company has changed hands, and it's being operated in a very unethical manner!

So here's what happened:
I called Southern States Toyota for a tune-up and oil change service for our forklift. Also to check a leak that looked like the lift cylinder. I also asked (over the phone) for an estimate before any service was done. We did not receive an estimate, but we did get hit with a $2800.00 tab that was taken out of our card without our permission! The reason I wanted an estimate is there were repairs made that I didn't want or ask for. Namely, the pulleys at the top of the lift cylinder. I had previously priced the pulleys ($500.00), but the cost was ridiculous! So, for the last ten years, we've been running the lift without the pulleys and without incidence!

Why would a service company do any work without getting authorization from the lift owner? To me, it's a very crooked way to do business! Did the Chinese take over Toyota? I wouldn't be surprised if a Communist-owned company would have this type of business procedure.
