What a disappointment. Cute place amongst some cute shops. Biggest part of the problem is the layout. I'm guessing the owner has never stood in line and/or observed the turmoil. The baked goods are displayed adjacent to the cash registers. The line forms in front of the baked goods so you don't know if someone is waiting to order or selecting items. The cashiers are screaming to the customers and the person pulling the bakery items, who is screaming back. The customers are screeching their orders to the cashiers - you can also order kitchen items from the menu board. The lowest shelf in the bakery display is below knee level, difficult to read while people in the line are shoving from behind. And, that is the other part of the problem. Some, not all, of the regulars from the area have no manners. Before ordering, they are screaming, not talking, to one another. After ordering, some move to the tables and some stand near the cashier, others back in front of the bakery display. Rearranging the coffee area, the bakery display and the cashiers, as well as blocking access after payment would create a pleasant experience rather than this day at the zoo. It may also improve the bottom line as we were considering ordering some take out items but I had enough of the circus atmosphere. All that aside, The food was good and the employees very friendly. Their stress levels must be sky high at the end of the day. I would not return there.
