I was told nine months ago that my family and I had dental and vision coverage. We've been working to get our insurance cards (which still have not been sent after nine months) but were told we didn't need them and that we could use our membership number. The last time we tried the is physician and staff were not able to find us anywhere in their system and we were forced to pay out of pocket, after over a month of emails and phone calls GBS finally confirmed that they messed up and had not ensured that my coverage went through and that we had not been covered for the past nine months.

I've waited another week since they said my coverage was now fixed for them to show proof of confirmation and send my cards and provide me with a way to submit a claim for the out of pocket expense of our previous visit. I was also told they would figure out a refund for the previous nine months of insurance I'd paid for but not received. I'm still waiting for all of this.

Their customer service is unorganized, I've received multiple phone calls and emails from different reps all stating different things, all promising results which have yet to be delivered. They provide timelines and then never call/email you to follow through. For instance, they said my reimbursement would take 7-10 days. I emailed them yesterday (21 days later) and they still do not have any answers. They forgot to follow up (like usual) and didn't complete the simple task they said they'd take care of.

If you are looking for an insurance broker for your company, do not settle with GBS, they cause more grief they relief and will make your job much harder than it has to be.
