this place is 100% a tourist trap. i know because im a tourist who was suckered into eating here. we were on our way back to arizona and wanted some good new mexican green chile dishes. we were seated promptly, and then waited about 10 minutes for a server to bring water and chips with salsa (tasted like any store bought jar salsa). we ordered chile con queso (straight up Velveeta cheese with canned green chiles and not enough of them either.) the chips were overcooked as well. we both ended up ordering chile rellenos and they were pathetic. they were not chiles stuffed with cheese but rather a strange egg dough, filled with shredded cheese and the same canned green chiles. way to much dough, and not the right texture of cheese the rellenos are supposed to have (supposed to be made with a smooth mexican fresh cheese, these tasted like walmart shredded cheese.) the rice and beans were again generic store bought tasting, and covered in the same shredded cheese. we ate our food because at $15 a plate, we couldn't afford not too, but this was a meal i would have made in my dorm room using the microwave. not authentic mexican food.
