This was one of the best experiences of my life.The wait in front of the gate was super fast and the staff was very friendly.The first thing we went too was the bird sanctuary it was amazing so many birds and my favorite animal ever a puffin.Some off the other enclosures are open the birds fly over you I ve never seen anything like this in my life so unique and beautiful,next was the sea lions they were so awesome they were playing around swimming it was so cute too see the small one.The bison we saw next we very big they were scary they were taller than us some of them and there baby was so cute taking shelter under mommy.Then my second favorite part of the zoo the Sea Bird Aviary they had so many flamingos the pink color is so pretty and then we went inside their were these little birds just sitting on the rocks and they were adorable and then the African penguins were swimming in their little groups and kept popping up for air.Then we went and ate and the staff were so kind and the wait there was not long.I got too feed the birds that were flying around with some of my French fries so awesome,the food was good too.The reptile room was next so many lizards all over and frogs,even chubby toads they were so close to the glass you could see them perfectly.We then saw the sad part about the polar bear having to be put down it was so sad but he was old.Then we went to the petting zoo with the extra pass we had and the animals were so close and we didn t have to wait at all.Then we went to the butterfly area was a little disappointed it was just a couple of monarchs flying around but the lab with all the cacoons was cool.They had some cool barbecue going on with free food it was so fun they had music and good food,Next was the other area with all the gorillas that you need the pass the gorillas were so up close and funny and the lemurs they had with them were swinging around like crazy and it was hilarious I was watching those gorillas and lemurs for a long time they were so interesting.The African area was awesome the giraffes were so tall and their print was beautiful,the giraffes were also very well fed.The gazelles were so pretty how they prance around their area so gracefully.We then did the monorail which took us around we got to see all these different kind of deer and the hippo which was being sprayed he looked so lazy it was funny and It was interesting to see they had so many different scientists explain everything.and the cheetah was so cute sleeping and I loved it,definitely buy the pass it s surprisingly cheap for what you get too see and learn,This is the best place in New York you definitely need to go it will be an amazing experience.
