As a Mexican Ive been looking for a good mexican restaurant. Authentic food is hard to find so I wasnt expecting Hugos to be that good. However, my mind was blown away! This gotta be one of the best Mexican restaurants in the US along with a few more in NY. To start off the place is super cozy, I love the outdoors area and the environment that comes as result of the music and the great service. The guacamole appetizer is pretty good, totally recommend it. Got the steak dish and the meat was cooked to perfection, so juicy and tasty. The rice is just so flavorful and unlike most places this was not greasy at all, which I loved it. Homemade tortillas and great salsa to complete a wonderful experience. The barbacoa was amazing, served in a banana leaf and seasoned to perfection. The portions are pretty big unlike other gourmet restaurants and the presentation of all dishes is great. Chef Hugo really looks into every detail to achieve greatness. The service is just as great as the food. Very happy with the experience and definitely looking forward to try more dishes. This place is totally worth your money
