Matthew Crompton Review of Enlightened Equipment

Echoing what others here have said:
(1) Enlightened Equipment products do not perform as advertised.
(2) When there are problems, Enlightened Equipment does not stand behind their product.
I bought a quilt from them where half the baffles seemed to be half-empty. After being gaslit by the company that I just needed to 'distribute the down', and after several freezing nights without enough insulation, I told them the quilt wasn't performing like it should, providing photos of the empty baffles to show the problem (note full baffles on rt side of quilt, vs. half-empty baffles on lt side).
Their response was not to address the issue, but to explain why it was actually *OK* that the quilt didn't have enough down in it to do its job. When I explained to them that this actually didn't meet their obligations as a business, they stopped responding to emails.
My recommendation? Buy from someone else. Any company is great when things go well, but you see a business's true colours when a customer has a problem. And with Enlightened Equipment, after the sale happens, you're on your own.
