I went on Saturday and I didn't know that the transit for bikes&scooters is moved to the left line (view from SF) and the right line is restricted to pedestrians. Google maps set me the route through the right line. A policeman stop me and make me walk.
The bridge is safe. I saw 2 or 3 guards across the entire bridge. The views are great.
I rent an GoX scooter for the entire day and crossed the bridge with it. Then I return (with the scooter) in a Ferry from Sausalito.
The website of the Golden Gate Ferry says no e-bikes are allowed. But they didn't object the electric scooter I bring.
