It's strange how a space can feel weird or off-putting until time passes and it grows on you. You know, oddly shaped rectangular and messy faux modern angles and confusion... Fed square was like that for me. Now i love sitting on the steps and looking across at people meeting other people or just enjoying some time. It used to be that folks would meet-up under the clocks at Flinders st, now across the road it's Fed Square. Also, they have ACMI which is great for film heads, and the Ian Potter Centre for the aussie art section the national gallery (free entry).
