The gardens are under expansion work and much is off limits, but spring is only beginning at Brooklyn Botanical Garden. The magnolias, and what cherries were blooming were magnificent. I also enjoy the yellow-green tinged of lindera benzoin (spicebush) and the exotic buttercup winter hazel (corylopsis pauciflora) juxtaposed with the willow trees. And the bonsai and other greenhouse spaces do not disappoint.
I am fascinated by the various plots of food plots: Asian and other cultures.

Someday I hope to see Gaulteria and samples of peanuts growing in a botanical garden.

I wish I had visited the library, and on another visit will make the library a priority to my visit.
I should have also bothered to check with the Brooklyn Museum to validate my parking...the Botanical Garden does not.
