Well, it's an airport, with all the plusses and minuses that other airports also have. The bus service from T1 to T2 can be a bit irregular, so a 2h transfer time upon entering Mexico is a minimum. You have to drop your suitcases yourself for the connecting flight , get through customs (a bit easier with the new electronic passports) , get a bus (when there's a queue and some traffic you can wait for up to 30 mins) and pass another control before you get to the desired gate in T1 ( which is of course the most remote one).
