I searched so many hotels for an upcoming trip to NYC. I happened onto this utterly charming hotel. Even on the website this place just seemed different than the cookie cutter chain hotels scattered throughout Manhattan. Everything about this establishment was classy. Being a privately owned boutique hotel, the accommodations and the service are top notch.

I rented a King Bedroom Suite with a balcony. The room had the amenities you would expect to find only in 5-star accommodations, such as bath robes, slippers, stocked snacks and liquor cabinet, stocked refrigerator, daily newspaper, a shoe buffing machine, extra pillows and blankets, fold out mattress for the living room couch, coffee maker, wine glasses, shoe horn, umbrella. A booking even includes pool usage at a local health and racquet club. The king size bed was comfy. The A/C was ice cold (nice after a long day out in the sun on the streets of NYC). The view from the balcony was nice. The hotel staff were the nicest and friendliest people I've ever met in the hospitality industry. There is an aire of family to this establishment, and all the staff have pride.

I spoke with several people staying at the hotel, who have been coming back to this establishment for a decade or more. I can certainly understand why. Because the a Kimberly Hotel is Manhatten's best hotel, hands down. I will never stay in any other hotel when I stay in NYC. The Kimberly Hotel is a veritable diamond!!!

The hotel is only about 3 NYC blocks from 5th Avenue and maybe 4 from Time Square. The hotel sports two very good restaurants on site and a rooftop bar. The subway is at the corner of the block.
