Couldn t be happier!! Reading through the reviews of this agency I completely understand the abundance of negative customer reviews, as did the agent assisting me with my claim. First off, when mentioning how poorly they were reviewed, my agent completely acknowledged that these reviews were rightfully deserved from the customer and employee standpoint. My agent also assured me that the company had made some big changes in trying to reconcile their extremely tarnished reputation. Obviously i was extremely hesitant regardless of this assurance. With that said I d like to explain my claim, and how Anchor General assisted me. I had a 2018 chevy cruz which i still owed the majority of my loan on. On April 2nd 2019 a flash flood hit my city. My car ended up submerged under almost 5 feet of water. They hired a local tow to retrieve my vehicle and bring it to a mechanic to be evaluated the following day.(very happy they covered that expense and in a timely fashion) They took about 4 days to evaluate the damage, which exceeded the value of the car. My gap insurance covered my car and would pay it off in full if it was rendered totaled but only if it was totaled out by my insurance agency. I was upside down on my loan so about $11,000 would have to be payed before gap would pay off the loan. Anchor General could have easily figured out ways to bandaid the damages to avoid a payout but instead they payed off the $11,000 and reported the car totaled. The car i was upside down in is now paid off thanks to Anchor General. Thats what I expect from an Insurence agency and that s exactly what i got. The entire process lasted all of three weeks and I couldn t be happier.
